Work ...
I've been at my 'new' job for half a year now, and it's still great. I work
with a really knowledgeable group of people.
In April I went to a course for maintenance and administration of Sun's
SunFire server line.
(2/2002)
(My last position, to Jan 2002)
I work in New York City for a startup called
Invisible Hand Networks. We develop software that dynamically prices
network bandwidth.
Here's a link to our webcam
- it's running on an old SGI with a cheapo camera, so it's not the best quality.
If you can see anything, my desk is the second from the front on the
left.
I'm our Systems Administrator. Since we're a small company, I get to
have my hands on everything - hardware, OS, networking, security, VPNs. It's
one of the benefits of working for a smaller place.
Here's a link to the Bastard
Operator from Hell archive - a bunch of stories from the early 90's from
the point of view of a sadistic systems admin (in the UK, they're called
'operators').
